Help me with vectors?

Consider the displacement vectors with m=meters

A= (3i-3j)m

B=(i-4j)m

C=(-2i+5j)m

Find D=A+B+C and E=-A-B+C

Please explain your steps

Help me with vectors?
Since they all have the same units, why not drop them for now? :)

Imagine instead of i and j, you have x and y, do you know how to add them up now?

No? How about writing them down and grouping up some like terms such as those with x's (i's) and those with y's (j's).

Don't forget to throw back in the meters in your solution if you dropped them at the beginning!
Reply:D = (3i+3j)m + (i+4j)m + (-2i+5j)m

= (2i + 6j)m

E = -(3i+3j)m - (i+4j)m + (-2i+5j)m

= (-6i + j)m
