Physics Help?

1) Two vectors are given.

A = (4m)i - (3m)j + (1m)k and B = (-1m)i + (1m)j + (4m)k

In vector notation, find (a) A+B, (b) A - B, and (c) a third vector C such that A - B + C = 0.

2) Here are two vectors:

A = (4m)i - (3m)j and B = (6m)i + (8m)j

What are (a) the magnitude and (b) the angle (relative to i ) of A? What are (c) the magnitude and (d) the angle of B? What are (e) the magnitude and (f) the angle of A+B; (g) the magnitude and (h) the angle of B - A; and (i) the magnitude and (j) the angle of A-B? (State your angle as a positive number.) (k) What is the angle between the directions of B - A and A - B?

3) What is the sum of the following four vectors in (a) unit-vector notation, and as (b) a magnitude and (c) an angle? Positive angles are counterclockwise from the positive direction of the x axis; negative angles are clockwise.

A = (2m)i + (3m)j B = (4m), at +65 degrees

C = (-4m)i - (6m)j D = (5m), at -235 degrees

To clear the boxes to input more data, click any of the 4 numbered "choice" buttons.

Here's a neat timesaver for you. Click button number 1, input 3 sides, then click calculate. The default is degrees but let's suppose you wanted radians. Click on 'radians', do NOT click on button 1 again but click on 'calculate'. Pretty neat huh?

If you did this with choice number 2, you would have to change one input box to radians, and with choice 3, you would have to change two input boxes to radians.
